What is a good university in the Midwest for the Pre-Med? I'm majoring in bio-chemistry?

I live in the Midwest. (Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, etc.) I'm majoring in Bio-chemistry, and I want a school that I do well and go to medical school proper. I know there are U of Michigan, but I not really want to go there because I heard that witnesses of his life. So what is a good school?

University of Northwestern University Chicago those are really the only "big" schools, in addition to U of Michigan in the Midwest
