Question – Aquarium Lighting …
What type of lighting that need to grow live plants in your aquarium?
I started to cultivate plants that live in my tank and I know what type of lighting or lights you need for them. Is there a particular type of fire you need to buy. I hope someone can help me here.
There are lights of specialists that are designed specifically for use in aquariums (like Glo flora), but most fans prefer tank planted bulbs day only, they are your typical light bulbs you can find anywhere what hardware. There are more things to consider when exactly the kind of lights to use, generally, if not all the time, it is preferable to have more light then less than the best form of light. Plants need more light, there is a lot of articles on the Internet about keeping plants in aquariums, research foundations of the "planted tanks. http://www.rexgrigg.com/ <- This is a quick example that I could not think right now. You can also try joining planted tank forums and ask there, I'm sure many people may help you. www.aquaticplantcentral.com;) Hope this helps.

An issue not discussed very often is the lighting of the aquarium reef aquarium. Although this topic is not discussed much, is very important in a saltwater reef aquarium.
After the water quality the most important day aquarium lighting for reef tanks, followed closely by the movement of water.
Water quality gives you stability tank, and provide the coral with essential elements. Aquarium lighting supplies corals energy that they then use to develop. Movement of water allows nutrients to be delivered to the corals to feed and wash the residue. Water movement is also essential for the use of natural filtration in the reef tank.
In all corals are millions and millions of so-called symbiotic algae. The only exceptions are corals that are classified as non-photosynthetic. They derive their energy from food and not the light itself. Photosynthetic corals obtain their main source of light energy and can also feed actively for more energy. The symbiotic algae in the coral to get energy from light and then pass this energy to the coral itself – a match made in heaven!
Different Corals have different lighting requirements. For example, short-polyp stony corals requires much more intense than corals soft lighting.
At choosing aquarium lighting reef aquarium is necessary to check two things in your reef aquarium. The first is that the corals themselves, so they can meet their needs, and the other is the bottom of the aquarium itself. Check the depth is large, light can not penetrate far into the water before removing the color. It's amazing how fast the water can remove color from light.
The depth of your aquarium and keep the corals will determine what type of lighting you want. For example, if you keep corals soft, then it could possibly just use fluorescent tubes. However, if you keep a short polyp stony corals after halide lighting metal will be needed. The depth should be checked, because if you have an aquarium depth, and color can not penetrate the bottom of the aquarium. Water has the ability to be able to strip the color at an amazing rate, so if you have a deep aquarium lighting needs with sufficient capacity to be able to push the light at the bottom of the aquarium.
Another component of the aquarium lighting Reef Aquarium to consider is that of Kelvin. Kelvin is the output of color and the symbol on the Kelvin scale the bluer the light. At the other end of the scale the lower the rating the more yellow / red will. Usually, in a reef aquarium Kelvin a score of 10,000 K and 13,000 K is used. It is a life white / blue color reproduction on a reef at a depth of about 30m.
When the aquarium coral reefs will set to first check what your lighting needs, and then placed in the bottom of the reef aquarium and move slowly over time until they are in their final position.

Question – Aquarium Light …
Should I leave my aquarium light on the night of excess?
We just bought an aquarium for our boys and five fish Gold … The tank has a light on the same (full spectrum, according to the box) and we wonder if we should leave the light on night or not.
It would be too stressful for fish. It is good to give them day / night cycles as we do. But if you want to see at night there are special "lights of the night "that illuminate the tank a little, but not to disturb the fish. Any animal, especially those that sell saltwater fish, you should be able to help.
