Question – Media Filter …
How often should I change my filter?
Trixie Aqua Pro have an internal filter, and when I bought the man said the only changes once a year, but this does not sound right to me! It has a sponge and carbon in it. Carbon did not need to reload Or replaced after a certain time? And to change the sponge to lose all the bacteria? Any advice would be great!
there no definitive answer to this carbon must be changed. This depends on many things. Many fish have. What type of fish you have. so large that they receive. Gourmets eat or slow. think how many more people to move your filter every month, some every 2 weeks and some people every 2 months. If you do a water change frequently and no excess or supercharger then you might get deleted every 3 months or less. the best we can do is to keep control of nitrate and they start to increase also changing the filter. but let the rinse sponge only when there is too much waste this change if it starts to crumble. Hope this helps.
